What is
Geo-Baching?
Geo-baching (short for "geographical bachelor") is a term used in the military community to describe a service member or their family living apart due to duty-related relocation. This often happens when a permanent change of station (PCS) creates circumstances where the family cannot move together, whether due to school, jobs, medical needs, housing shortages, or personal choice. While it may seem temporary, geo-baching can last months or even years, placing emotional, financial, and logistical stress on families. Family in Flight exists to support and connect these families, helping to bridge the distance with compassion and community.
