WHO WE ARE
At Family in Flight, we believe families belong together even when military life makes it difficult. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by military spouses and supporters, we’re dedicated to supporting those who face the emotional and logistical challenges of "geo-baching" from their loved ones due to duty stations, extended trainings, or other circumstances beyond their control that last a significant amount of time apart.

Our mission is simple: To build a strong, supportive community for geo-baching military spouses and connecting them with peers, resources, and opportunities to thrive. Through our travel grants, we help ease the financial burden of transportation. Whether it’s a flight, bus, train, or tank of gas, so families can reunite and create meaningful moments together.
But our support doesn’t stop there.

Family in Flight is also a community and a place to connect, share, and be seen.
We offer monthly virtual support groups, resources, and encouragement for those currently living apart, preparing to, or reflecting on the journey. Because while the separation is hard, you don’t have to go through it alone.

Through donations, partnerships, and the power of community, we’re building a network of care and solidarity. Whether it's for a weekend visit or a once-in-a-lifetime event, we believe every moment together matters, and every story deserves to be supported.

OUR SERVICES
At Family in Flight, we are dedicated to supporting military families navigating the challenges of geo-baching. We know the distance can feel overwhelming, so we work to create a strong, welcoming community where families can connect, share experiences, and access helpful resources. Through our programs, events, and partnerships, we provide both emotional support and practical tools helping families feel less alone and more supported, no matter the miles in between.

Community
At Family in Flight, we know that emotional support is just as important as financial assistance. That’s why we offer monthly virtual support groups where military spouses can connect, share, and support one another through the unique challenges of living apart.

Gift Cards
We provide a wide variety of gift cards to our geo-baching families as well. This can be a grocery gift card, gas, Uber Eats and more! We do this to help off set the cost of some of the many expenses that come with geo-baching. Reach out and ask us how you qualify for this program or if you want to donate some gift cards to families in need!

Travel Grants
We offer travel grants to military spouses who wish to reunite with their loved ones while geo-baching. These grants can be used to cover various travel expenses, including:

Application Process
To ensure fair distribution of funds, we have a straightforward application process. Eligible military spouses can apply for a travel grant through our website by completing a simple application form. Our dedicated board reviews each application carefully, considering the unique circumstances of each applicant.

We understand that every family’s situation is different. Whether the separation is due to relocation, extended training, or medical needs, we are here to help. We provide support for a range of circumstances to ensure that no family is left without the opportunity to reunite.
